Session 3, part 4: Letter A on the Akashic Plane

The akashic level of awareness is a state of mind which penetrates through space and time. You imagine you are able to perceive and be anywhere and that your consciousness is a formless, vast, and limitless expanse of awareness. This is the cosmic letter E approach on the akashic plane.

Alternately, you imagine you are in a vast, empty space. There is nothing here. No form, no substance, no sound, no light, no vibration. Nothing. Space and time do not exist because there are no reference points present that could give them definition. We could call this a state of awareness that is prior to anything existing. It is quantum reality—all possibilities are present because nothing as of yet exists. This is the cosmic letter U on the akashic plane.

In working with the akasha, there is no need to be shy or timid. There

is no premium for feeling unworthy or separate from the divine world. You practice at perceiving and acting as a divine being. You join yourself on the akashic level to Divine Providence, to spirit, to light, to the imagery of the enlightened mind, however you wish to express it. In this approach to the divine, if you do the work, you get results.

But again, this is what magicians do. They seek to embody within

themselves the principles, ideals, and energies of universal and cosmic

order. They begin to act with the creativity of the divine world—slowly, step by step, their presence begins to reflect the power, the beauty, the order, the harmony, and the love inherent in the universe.

The Akashic Level of Letter A

Franz Bardon’s description: “In the akasha principle, the “A” symbolizes the highest wisdom and the highest illumination that may

ever be lavished on a human being. At the same time, it represents the purity of all ideas in all forms of existence.”

When I practice on this level, I get that feeling that I have been exploring various Buddha realms. There is in the blue light a feeling of the expansive openness of the sky. There is no end to the open spaciousness of the mind. There is no need for reference points or limiting perspectives. There is a sense of freedom which is boundless, unobstructed, and indestructible.

Of course, being able to enter into a meditation like this does not

mean in any way that you are able to bring your mystical experience back into your life so that some of this wisdom carries over and transforms your personal affairs. Buddhist teachers like to insist on learning to “stabilize” our spiritual realizations so that they become a permanent part of us and are always present. Learning to master such an energy takes a great deal of patience and commitment.

Three Sense Concentrations

By concentrating on a color, sound, and elemental sensation, an energy field is created out of nothing. This energy field composes the substance of a cosmic letter. The three sense concentrations that create the cosmic letters take on slightly different qualities according to the plane you are working on.

On the akashic plane, the cosmic letter A’s sensation involves the air element. This is a sense of weightlessness. But this is not like floating in the air. Rather, it is a sense of being without gravity or attractions exerting any influence or pull.

Any disturbance is automatically balanced. Any force neutralized. Since I often focus on issues involving international justice, the implication for human endeavor is that any abuse of power is neutralized by the presence of this energy which is cosmic in nature.

The note of “G” has the qualities of being open and vast. It underlies the air sensation and color supporting and amplifying them.

The color of light blue takes on the vibration of the mind as having no end. It is everywhere.

In the akashic zone of the earth, the letter A becomes the wisdom that is underlying and seeking to be perfected in all disciplines—literature, science, technology, biology, medicine, religion, energy, longevity, politics, economics, etc. Where we once were, where we are now, and where we shall be—it offers to reveal the highest understanding.

In this brief synopsis of the letter "A," I have discussed

the air element and given examples of its influences and activities on the

four planes. The idea for a magician is to be able to work with all four

planes at once. He joins eternity and time, the divine and physical manifestations. On the akashic level, an individual joins himself through meditation with the light of akasha and Divine Providence. With "A," he perceives the harmony of the universe.

On the mental plane, he brings this awareness of boundless light down to where it is active within his thinking and mental perceptions. His mind is open and clear. And on the mental plane we consider what things need to be done and the time frame in which to accomplish them. We consider the needs of the world from the perspective of eternity.

On the astral level, the light of akasha manifests as the ability to

embrace fully each moment in life as it arises. There is sensitivity and

celebration of beauty and harmony. Yet art, as an example of astral

sensitivity, also possesses the ability to fill in for what is missing in

our lives. Consequently, on the astral plane we create the feeling and

the vision of how we want the physical world to be. A dream, like a

powerful work of art or intense feelings, speaks to us about the way we

live our lives—it inspires change.

Individual can talk about utopia or the way the world should be. But

not much happens unless they embody that dream within themselves—unless they live and feel its presence and its joy in every moment. The

individual who can do this is generating the magnetic attraction which

help make the dream become real.

On the physical plane, the three previous planes are woven together

into something permanent that has enduring influence. This can be, for example, a manuscript which remains as a source of inspiration for

future generations. This could also be the power of wisdom to take hold

of difficulties and so fill them with light that the tensions and negative

consequences dissolve in the presence of this illumination. Community,

peace, and wisdom are then turned over to the next generation rather than war, hatred, and illusions.

Stillness

There is an absolute contentment in which the inner self is at peace with the universe.

And there is an inner stillness that, in harmony with the universe, slowly, gradually, and imperceptible takes the person that is you and makes all things new.

In stillness, things become calm, quiet, relaxed, and at peace. There is a sense that motion, movements in time, cease and then you perceive with great clarity. Take a relationship with someone that is important to you. Review briefly the entire history of that relationship from the first moment you met until the last moment you have experienced thus far. And then look again as if each moment is still alive, is still happening. See it all of it before your eyes. Very briefly, review your entire life from the moment you were born. Step back and look at it again as if each moment is equally alive and still happening. Quiet, calm, relaxed, at peace, and clear—see all of it arrayed before your eyes.

People sometimes ask, “Can you change the past?” If you change the way you look at the past, then it becomes different. Here are a few comments on stillness by the head of the 24th lunar mansion named Zhevekiyev.

“Stillness is the center of the wheel of time, that upon which all things turn. It the perfection of psychological equilibrium—in and through you every imbalance seeks balance, very discord seeks harmony, every weakness strength, and everything negative transforms into positive. Every journey, ideal, and quest finds fulfillment, manifestation, and attainment. Every desire finds satisfaction, every craving gratification, every sign of the zodiac unites with its opposite and then together they all unite and return to the center. “Stillness is a history of nations in which every king or man of power in attaining absolute sovereignty also is completely humble, seeking only to enrich and fulfill the lives of his people. “Stillness is a world in which every lover makes an absolute commitment to another to insure and to guarantee that the other’s life is fulfilled in every conceivable way. “Stillness is a world in which any person in quiet meditation can easily perceive any other person’s life on earth in its complete history as in a drama or a stage play unfolding amid conflicts and resolution, tension and release, with supporting cast, with dynamic and dazzling subplots about to be written. And yet there is this also: nearly infinite treasures of life are just off stage at the edge of our consciousness waiting to enter and bless the individual’s life. “Stillness is a world in which if you sit down to meditate, and if you so desire, there is always someone sitting there with you and together you dream the deepest dreams at the core of each other’s being. “And there is an inner stillness that is in harmony with the universe that slowly, gradually, and imperceptible takes the person that is you and makes all things new.”

In stillness, time halts. The experience of every human being on earth, past, present, and future, appears before you. And you perceive each moment of these experiences as if they are still happening.

If you pursue stillness, you discover that the fiery light of creation is all around you. It is a great harmony underlying and embracing all things. It is filled with joy, infinite love; everywhere and in everything, it holds the world within its heart.

While meditating today on the air element, I wrote this little piece.

Negotiations

A woman appeared before the throne of God, which itself is ineffable, the formless form of incomprehensible infinity.

And she says to God, speaking with a grateful, receptive heart that is without equal, “Grant me a gift and in return every fiber of my being shall be a vessel to reflect your divinity on earth.”

And God replies, “Only one or two in human history have offered me such a gift. Therefore, ask me what you will and I shall grant it to you.”

And the woman says, “Teach me to sing the song of the universe that I might fill the world with its beauty, its wisdom, and the love from out of which the universe was created.”

God replies, “Your request is granted, though a word of caution. You must go in disguise, carefully cloaking your joy, for the ecstasy of this song is so great that its sound would make men both deaf and blind, halt their breath, and steal their life.”

The woman says, “I shall obey your words. With barely a taste and the faintest trace of its sounds appearing from within the recollection of their dreams, I shall fill the earth with light.”
