Casual Encounters

Sue: Hi.

Ineffable: Hello.

Sue: My name is Sue. Who are you?

Ineffable: I am known as the ineffable, the unknowable, and the incomprehensible.

Sue: Oh. Kind of like dark matter as compared to everything else—dark matter emits no radiation that can be observed in the visible or invisible light spectrum. You are behind and underneath all those subatomic particles like quarks, sterile and fertile neutrinos, and the Higgs Boson particle upon which gravity itself relies for existence. You are the matrix—the seething cauldron and void from which creation itself arises.

Ineffable: Yes. You are correct. Before my eyes quarks, sterile and fertile neutrinos, Higgs Boson and all other particles fade into nothingness.

Sue: Well of course, you are after all the unmanifest. So what is next? Do I ask of you a request or do you have something you wish me to do for you?

Ineffable: I exist outside of space and time. There is no next. This moment is all that exists.
But to answer your second question--it is not that I need you to do something for me. I am not lonely. I have no need of a lover. The act of creating is fully contained within me. Rather, I seek a friend with whom I can share all that I am.

Sue: You got it. Anywhere, anytime I am here ready to share.

And life for Sue was no longer the same. You see, the ineffable, unknowable, and incomprehensible—that seething cauldron of creation--was now subtly woven into her name.
