10. For you, time is linear. You "move through time." Words like "past" and "future" actually mean something to you. After all, what other way is there to do it?" (Does not apply if you are a Hopi Indian or equivalent.)
9. When you here the phrase, "having a purpose in life," you think in terms of accomplishing something that is understandable to other people... like finding the right job, playing an important part in society, accomplishing some goal, etc. In other words, events in the outer world actually help define who you are. Plus the phrase, "God's will for my life" actually means something to you even if you disagree with the concept. Consequently, human organizations and movements such as being vegetarian, feminism, capitalism, and religious concepts such as lineage, denomination, doctrines, authority, etc. also have meaning for you even if you disagree with them.
8. When you review your past lives, you see that you were different people. You were not the same personality as you are now simply learning different things. Consequently, each time you incarnate, you have to relearn what you once knew before.
7. You do not "wake up" when you fall asleep and become fully alert and active on the astral plane while others are merely dreaming. And you do not have conversations with others in their dreams that both you and they remember when you wake up. Plus, the majority of your spirit guides are human or associated with humans--like angels, elders, figures from religion such as Pan, Angus Og, some Swami, ascended master, etc. (Spirit guide reference does not apply if you are a spheric magician or past chapter three of Bardon's IIH).
6. You do not say things like, "I share the same soul with my lover," or "My lover and I always know what we are feeling and thinking regardless of whether we are near or far. Plus unfamiliar Women do not come up and offer to sleep with you every day when you go to work.
5. You do not automatically feel what everyone in a room is feeling when you first walk into it. And you definitely do not sometimes spontaneously relive others memories as if they are your own.
4. You do not zap others when you walk down the street to make them feel happy; you do not automatically do soul retrieval (free others of their pain or blocks) when you sit down and have a conversation with someone; you do not know how to "slow time;" when you play cards, you do not know what cards the others are holding because you can see through others eyes; you do not always win when you play games of chance; electrical devices do not go on and off when you yawn or are startled; you do not get goose bumps all over that confirm when someone is saying something unusual that is true.
3. When you were a child a voice did not yell at you from time to time when you were clinging to the ceiling of your room and looking down--"Get back into your body." Also when you were a child, you did not fly around in your room playing with little balls of light, gnomes, fairies, and sprites who were always there for you. And you never wondered why you could read the minds of adults but they did not respond telepathically when you sent them messages. Plus, when you were young, you did not spend up to ten hours a day in water--the bath, a pool, a stream, a lake, etc. (Does not apply if your mother was a hereditary witch).
2. You do not feel that you are a part of nature--that nature is embedded in you at the core of your being. Consequently, you do not say things such as "This body is merely a suit of clothes that I put on; it is not who I am." (Does not apply if your father was Ansel Adams.)
1. When you meditate, you do not see everything as pure energy. (Does not apply if you have taken LSD, mescaline, etc.). And when you work with a spiritual teacher, the teacher does not say to you, "I have been trying to teach these things to my students for twenty years but you get it in the first week."
